First of all, I have never written a readme before, so I hope this helps you with my game.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description

This is basically just a game where you go around fighting monsters of various strengths. As you defeat them, you will earn cash and experience points. The more Experience you get, the stronger you get. This is the game in a nutshell, but the details are all below.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Setting up the game

1. Transfer all the files to your TI-83 or TI 82

2. Copy the matrix [F] to [A] (type [F]->[A])

3. To play, run the program RPG. All the other programs are just sub-routines, and will not function outside of the main program.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Playing the Game
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
	Starting the game
1. When you first open the game, you will be prompted to load a saved game or not. Unless you have already played and created a saved game, choose No. This will start a new game.

2. When you first start the game, you have a level 1 character. He pretty much sucks, and can only beat the weakest of enemies. Your goal is to build up your character until he is strong enough to defeat the evil Dragon. As you beat the enemies, you will earn experience points and cash. Each of these will be described in later sections.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Enemies
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You can choose between several enemies, each of which has a different toughness. The easiest enemies (the Forest Animals) can be defeated even with your basic character(when you first start the game). The hardest creatures (Hellspawn) are so strong that you aren't even *allowed* to fight them until level 15, and even then are difficult to beat.

Here is a list of enemies, ranked by difficulty, starting with the weakest:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
	1. The Forest Animals
	   a) The Gnome
	   b) The Fairy
	   c) The Kobold
	2. The Swamp Creatures
	   a) A Swamp Fox
	   b) An Alligator
	3. The Mountain Beasts
	   a) An Ogre
	   b) An Orc
	   c) A Troll
	4. HellSpawn
	   a) A Golem*
	   b) The Dragon**

*= The Golem's strength is based on your own, so that no matter how high your level is, you will have a creature to fight that will be a challenge. You cannot, however, fight the Golem until you've killed a Dragon.

**= You may not fight the Dragon unless you have reached level 15 or higher. You also cannot cast any attacks spells against him. You may, however, use the heal spell.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to Fight

1.) Choose the creature you wish to battle

2.) You will see a display of which creature is attacking, then be shown your and his health.

3.) You will be presented with a menu of possible actions
	a) Attack- This is your basic attack. Most of the time, this attack will do normal damage to your enemies, if it doesn't miss them. Occasionally, if your strength is high enough relative to the enemies' strength, you will make a Critical Hit. This hit will do 2x the normal damage.

	b) Heavy attack- This is a stronger version of the normal attack. There are 2 differences though. First, your chances of scoring a hit are lower. Second, there are no critical hits. The Heavy Attack always does 1.5x normal damage.

	c) Light Attack- This is a lighter version of the regular attack. This attack has a much higher chance of scoring a hit on the enemy(it rarely misses, except when you are severely underpowered). It only deals 75% normal damage though, so it isnt very effective.

	d) Run Away- Use this option if you think you are about to die, or you simply don't want to continue fighting. Before you can successfully run away from battle, your opponent will get one shot at you. Therefore, if you wait until your health is at 1 before you decide that you want to run away, chances are you will die. This means that you must make sure that if you do get hit, you are still strong enough to survive.

	e) Magic- This option becomes available after you have reached Level 5. Until then it will be invisible. The various magical spells will be described in another section.

	f) Limit Break- This is a super-attack that becomes available only after you have received damage equal to 150% (yes, 150%) of your normal health. Obviously, you will never have a chance to use this ability unless you heal yourself. When you do use it though, it is a devastating weapon. It will deal triple the normal amount of damage, equivalent to 2 Heavy Attacks.

4.) Each time you choose an action, it will be carried out, and then your enemy will have chance to counter-attack (unless he is dead). After both you and your enemy have attacked and counter-attacked, you will be shown your healths and then brought back to the action menu.

5.) The 3 attacks (light, normal, and heavy) all use a similar system to calculate who misses and who doesn't. Based on your character's level, various traits are formed, including agility and accuracy. Each enemy is also given accuracy and agility traits when you battle them. It is the difference between these traits that decides who misses and who gets hit.

6.) After each battle you win, you will be awarded cash and experience points based on the enemy you fought. Cash can be used to buy things in the store, which will be discussed later. When you accumulate enough experience, your character will increase by 1 level. You can view your current goal(the amount you need for the next level up) by selecting "Stats" from the main menu.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Magic Spells

1.) During a fight, you will sometimes be given the option of casting various magical spells. These spells vary in strength and effect. They also consume Magic Points. At the beginning of each battle, you are given a set number of magic points to cast spells with. These points must last you through the whole battle, so use them sparingly.

2.) These are the spells you can cast:
a)Heal- This spell restores your health to full. It can only be used 3 times per battle. It requires 2 Magic Points to use. Very rarely, this spell can backfire, transferring some of your health to the enemy.

	b) Water Blast- This spell is the weakest of the 4 attack spells. It requires 5 Magic Points to used. It has a 30% chance of missing.

	c) Lightning- This is the 3nd strongest attack spell. It requires 10 Magic Points to cast, and has a 20% chance of missing.

	d) Fire Blast- This is the 2nd strongest attack spell. It requires 15 Magic Points to cast, and will only miss 10% of the time.

	e) MegaBlast- This is the strongest possible spell you can cast. It requires 30 Magic Points to cast. It will never miss. This spell will reduce your enemies' health to 1, regardless of their strength, leaving them easy pickings for a light attack. There is one drawback, however; each time you cast it, your total Magic Point capacity( the amount you start out with at the beginning of a battle) is reduced by 5.

3.) You can increase both the amount of Magic Points you get in each battle, and the damage the spells deal, by casting more spells(except Mega Blast spell). The amount of damage is also increased when your level goes up. The maximum number of Magic Points you can ever have is 40.

The Store

1.) When you have earned enough cash from killing enemies, you might want to go to the store to buy some stuff. There are several ways for you to spend money.

2.) You can buy items.
	a) You can buy weapons.
		i) A baseball bat - $5
		ii) A dagger - $20
		iii) A mace - $50
		iv) A katana - $150
		v) A Plasma Rifle - $400
	b) You can buy armor
		i) A shirt - $5
		ii) A Jacket - $20
		iii) Riot Gear - $50
		iv) Plate Mail - $150
		v) Chain Mail - $400
	c) You can buy extra lives- $50 each (max 1000)
	d) NOTE: You cannot buy an item if you already posses a stronger one of that type(i.e. you cannot buy a dagger if you currently own a katana). Also, if you buy a new item to replace the old one, you lose the old item forever. Therefore, it is best to sell whatever you own before replacing it.
3) You can sell items.
	a) You can sell weapons.
		i) A baseball bat - $5
		ii) A dagger - $20
		iii) A mace - $50
		iv) A katana - $150
		v) A Plasma Rifle - $400
	b) You can sell armor
		i) A shirt - $5
		ii) A Jacket - $20
		iii) Riot Gear - $50
		iv) Plate Mail - $150
		v) Chain Mail - $400
	c) You can sell extra lives- $50 each (you cannot sell more lives than you already have)
	d) NOTE: If you sell an item, you gain money equal to it's value, and your item is reset to none. You can only sell an item you currently possess.

The original author & creator was Samuel Lewis. He wrote the basic idea for the game out a while back. When he gave it to me I decided that it was ripe for improvement, so I have done a lot of coding to make it into what it is today. My name is Philip Bisnow, and my e-mail address is

Please e-mail me and let me know of what you think of this program. I have worked hard on it, and I am only asking for a few minutes worth of feedback.
