POKERSOL is a poker solitaire game. For the complete rules, find a Hoyle's
book. The game is played with a standard 52-card deck. Cards are played one
at a time into a 5 by 5 grid. Each row and each column counts as its own poker
hand, and the goal is to get the best overall set of 10 poker hands. Each type
of poker hand is given a point value (1 for a pair up to 30 for a straight
flush). The point value of each possible poker hand is displayed before the
game begins. The card in the upper left-hand corner is the current card. Use
the arrow keys to select the space in the grid to place the card, and press
enter to place the card there. At the end of the game, the program calculates
your score. If you got one of the 10 highest scores, you get to enter your
initial (one letter from A to Z, or Theta). The program creates two lists:
PKSOL (high scores) and PSOLI (matching initials).

Strategy tip: use the rows to get flushes and straight flushes and use the
columns to get hands such as fours of a kind and full houses.

I've played this game a couple hundred times, and my average score is around
40. My best score ever is 102. Enjoy!
