I. Introduction
I suppose that a bit of background is in order. Well, I had been programming my calculator since September 1999, getting more and more advanced along the way. On day, on the way back from a school football game (I'm in the marching band), I saw a friend of mine's game that was superior to anything I had ever seen to that point (I hadn't "found" the TI community yet). So, I hatched a bold and daring plan to unseat this work, something that would be just as superior. So, I started my own project: Star Driver (I hadn't even heard of Star Dust at that point either!). I got some amazing pics down, but the games were slow in coming. Then I fried my calc, and got a new one. Then I fixed my old one and came up with the idea for a linkplay game. that idea soon fizzled, though due to the fact that linking was so slow and clunky. That's when the game as you know it now was officially started. The remenants of the linkplay game became LINKWAR!!! (without the link part, so I need to change the name)

II. System Requirements
This game uses a total of 8 programs, but only 7 are required to play the game. The other one is the level editor, which you don't *really* need, but nice to have, to make your own levels. The game all told uses 8070 bytes, but another 2033 is needed for a matrix, 333 for another string, about 108 for a list, and some more room for variables (it may seem big now, but do keep in mind that I have GREATLY reduced it's size since I have started, and also by compressing the matrixes). I will use ALL of the strings, matrix [I], and possibly [J] (if you save the game).
III. Gameplay
 Its really simple, actually.

	Arrow Keys:	Move
Enter: Stop pauses / Attack (in battle)
	2nd: Status
	Mode: Save Game
	Del: Exit Game
Carrot Key (^):	Select Fists (in battle)
Division Key:	Select Standard Pistol (in battle)
Multiply Key:	Select Plasma Blaster (in battle)
Subtract Key:	Select Ion Cannon (in battle)
Addition Key:	Select Phase Disruptor (in battle)

So far, if you complete the objective, nothing happens (need to implement). But, you can do just about everything else. I'm not gonna explain the level editor's controls, because if you are going to make your own levels, you should be able to figure it out (it tells you on the screen!). However Alpha sets the objective (not on the screen instructions). Another fun thing to do would be to change the names of the weapons and enemies, but it would mean hacking into the datafile (Str1) to do that. You can figure that out too. I HOPE everything else is self-explanitory...

IV. Chronology
Ooooo, this is going to be the hardest part to create, seeing as though I Don't keep a log. So, today it starts.

4-8-2000 Saturday, 5:01 PM EST. LINKWAR BETA 0.6

Worked on this readme file. Before this point, LINKWAR has evolved to the point that it is today. Always getting smaller, faster, and more efficient. In fact, it has been through an item engine rewrite already. First release of Linkwar ever.

V. Pending work
A fancy name for future work, or upcoming features. Really, the whole thing needs interface overhaul, as it is really not giving much info, data, interactivity, whatever, during the game. I need to implement objective completion, level switching, battle engine useability, main home screen revision, all of that. *Sigh* All this work, and still more to do...

VI. Credits
Credits? Credits?!?! I am the only one who really did any work on this, but a few names also come to mind

SiCoDe - For promoting Advanced Basic (and to see If I could make a game as good as them)
BrandonAGR - For helping me with compression (SEE?! SEE!? SEE!!!!??? I AM THANKING YOU!!)
Lucas - For the inspiration to begin the project (poor soul, only has an 82!)
Dave - For wanting to be like me
	TI - For the calc

That about sums it up. Be on the lookout for future versions!! (b0.7! HOPEFULLY 1.0 *someday*)!
