                Roadrunner presents
               	  Duel 2000 V1.2

Do you remember Artillery Duel on the good old C64?
(Two players want to shoot each other with a cannon.)
This is a clone for your TI-83.

This program may be freely distributed as long as no
changes are made to the program or the documentation.

The game consists of only one file. This makes it a little
bit longer, but it is easier for you to keep the overview
if you have a lot of stuff (like me) on your calculator.
All you have to do is to send "duel.83p" to your calculator.
At the moment it uses no matrices or lists but nearly
all single character variables, Str8, Str9, Str0 and GDB0 (for restoring
user modes).

In the menu you can choose between 4 options:

1 PLAYER	: starts the game for 1 player
2 PLAYERS	: starts the game for 2 players
DEMO : starts the game in DEMO-MODE
QUIT : quits the game (yes, really!)

After starting the game you have to chose the side
you want (player 1 will always be on the left side).
Then you can enter your name (max. 8 characters).

Now each player can select his rank:
Private - 60 seconds for aiming
Captain - 30 seconds for aiming
General - 15 seconds for aiming

You should not measure the time with a stop watch because
the speed of the calculator depends on allocated memory and
freshness of batteries.
In 1 player game there is no time limit for the TI-83,
but the higher the selected rank the better the aiming!

In aiming mode you can do this:
<up>/<down> -change the angle between 0 and 90
        <left>/<right> -change power between 0 and 99
        <[2nd]> -fire!!!

Watch the wind!

You can exit the game after the score is shown by selecting
"MAKE PEACE". In DEMO-MODE you can press any key to exit.
Before the next shot starts you are back in the main menu.

I hope you'll enjoy the game.

-kleinere (sinnlose) Programme

schicken.
