Description:

The classic Atari game for the TI-83 - fly ship, shoot rocks, don't
crash. You get the idea.

This is my first real TI-Basic program. I think it's pretty cool, but
it's god-awful slow. Sorry, that's what I get for writing in Basic. I
think it's still pretty playable, if you're patient. Someone else is
writing an Asteroids game in assembly, which is bound to be alot better.

Installation:

Just send ASTEROID.83G to you TI-83. It contains two files, ASTEROID.83P
and Pic1.83I. Run ASTEROID.83P from the PRGM menu. (Note: It doesn't
seem to like to run from SOS.)

Pic1.83I is just the startup screen. You can delete it to save some
memory, just delete the RecalPic line from the top of ASTEROID.83P. Oh,
the asteroids in the startup screen are real pictures of asteroids,
taken from http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/files/images/browse/p41383.gif -
"Gaspra, Deimos and Phobos compared."

Instructions:

Play is pretty simple:

Up	Thrust
Left	Turn counter-clockwise
Right	Turn clockwise
2nd	Fire
CLEAR	Quit

Move around and shoot the asteroids. There is only one asteroid per
screen - its way too slow if I put in more. If you shoot the asteroid,
you get one point and move on the the next level. If you crash into an
asteroid you lose 1 life. You get 3 lives total.
