Overview

(turn on word wrap)
This program was originally written to help me find the discriminant of an equation for a paticularly repetitive section of my Math 20 AP class. And in 3 hectic days of programming, it has grown significantly. It now does everything (at least, to my limited 20 level knowledge) to do with quadratics I could think of. Imaginary numbers, etc.

History

24/9/98 - v 0.1 beta - A discriminate program. Output like "two non-real roots", etc. Never released. Programmed during math class.
24/9/98 - v 1.0 - Now solves quadratic equations with about 50% success. Really ugly. Never released. Programmed later in the day.
24/9/98 - v 1.5 - Solves equations 100% of the time (imaginaries too). Finds discriminate values. Really ugly. Released in a limited format to some people in my math class. Programmed much to late in the day.
25/9/98 - v 1.6 - Updated the look. Added graphing option. Not as ugly. Now it doesn't do imaginary numbers. Crap. Never released.
26/9/98 - v 2.0 - Now it does imaginary numbers.
26/9/98 - v 2.1 - Current version. Added direction option. Released to people in my math class and people of the net.
28/9/98 - v 2.5 - Fixed some minor stuff. Now displays imaginaries clearer so it is easier to check your work.

My Two Cents

Feel free to edit this program, but please send me what you do. The only reason editlock is on is so people in my class wouldn't put their name on my program. I hope you will be a bit more mature. Please distribute this program in an unaltered form, with this readme file, as QUAD21.zip. Please sent comments to rcmilbu@ibm.net.
