LinkChat

What is LinkChat?

LinkChat is a program that allows two TI-83s to communicate. They communicate through their
link ports, with the communication link plugged into both. LinkChat is a very primitive, and by no means technical, program.

Why is LinkChat useful?

LinkChat is useful if you want to talk to your friend during a period in class that you
shouldn't be talking. It allows you to send and receive messages noiselessly. This also has
good use if you want to cheat on a test. I in no way promote cheating, but if you want to,
it is your decision. The only thing that you have to worry about is concealing the link
cable. A good, but probably unrealistic, idea is to splice two or three link cables together, thus making the cord longer. This is the unrealistic part, you could then run the cord down the leg of your pants and out the bottom of your pants to your friend's pants. It may sound ridiculous, but it has proven to be successful. Since time is of the essence during tests, you may just want to type in the number of the problem and send it. Your friend would then signal you by making a sound (tapping their pencil, coughing, etc.) and you would select 2 from the menu. The program would then print the sent variable (the answer).

This program has proven to be successful when you have to be silent. Try not to type too much because it takes up valuable time.

I IN NO WAY PROMOTE CHEATING. IF YOU GET CAUGHT, IT IS NOT MY FAULT. I AM NOT TELLING YOU TO CHEAT, I'M JUST HELPING YOU OUT IF YOU WANT TO CHEAT.
