Before you begin
----------------

  It is advisable to make backup copies of your original disks because of
  the in-game file writting that must occur.  This increases the life of
  the masters and guards against accidents.



Memory requirements
-------------------

  Dune II requires a minimum of one megabyte of memory to run.  Other
  applications (including Workbench) should NOT be resident while
  playing Dune II on machines with only one megabyte.



Creating a save game disk (Floppy only)
---------------------------------------

  To create a save game disk follow one of these procedures:

  NOTE: Make sure disk DuneII_1 is NOT write protected before creating a
        save game disk.

  Procedure A:

    1) Place disk 1 into drive DF0:

    2) Reboot machine.

    3) Select option 1 (Create save game disk).

    4) Follow the prompts.

  Procedure B:

    1) Go to the commandline (CLI).  (See Amiga documentation for this)

		2) Insert disk 1 into any drive.

    3) Type <CD DuneII_1:>

    4) Type <MakeSave>

    5) Follow the prompts.


  Procedure C:

    1) Double-Click on MakeSave icon.

    2) Follow prompts.


A500+/A600 (1 Megabyte memory, hard disk)
-----------------------------------------

    If you wish to run DuneII from harddisk you must run "Dune600" instead
    of "DuneII".


A1200/A4000 Notes
-----------------

    Mode Promotion (found in Preferences IControls) must be on if you
    are using a VGA monitor (31k only).
